April 26, 2007 | Leave a Comment

Germany’s leading manufacturer of premium automobiles is presenting the vision of a unique four-door car which combines the exclusivity of a genuine luxury Gran Turismo with the fascinating thrill of a high-performance sports car in the BMW Concept CS. The BMW Concept CS concentrating on powerful, expressive design, materials of the highest quality, and quality of finish in perfection, this unique new model offers a completely new understanding of premium quality.
The BMW Concept CS Measuring 200.8 inches in length is dominated by dynamically flowing lines. From the BMW kidney grille standing out powerfully to the front, the eyes of the beholder move back along the low-slung and sleek engine compartment lid, subsequently meandering along the side-line and roof-line all the way to the deliberately short rear-end with its clear-cut air flow spoiler.

Ethanol As Fuel Causes More Smog And More Deaths
April 23, 2007 | 1 Comment
There’s a study conducted in the US by a Stanford University Civil & Environmental Engineering Professor that using ethanol as an alternative fuel could cause more smog and eventually more deaths.
Ethanol which is supposed to be a green fuel may create dirtier air and smog related deaths. According to the study, nearly 200 people would die yearly from from respiratory problems if all vehicles in the United States ran on a mostly ethanol fuel blend by 2020.
Apart from that, about 4,700 people die from respiratory problems from ozone, the unseen component of smog along with small particles. The study was carried out based on computer model.

It’s no better than gasoline, apparently slightly worse.”

Sound at Tailpipe Out of Tune or Uneven
April 19, 2007 | 1 Comment
A good condition car normally produce even or smooth tone at the tailpipe as the engine idles. But if you notice that the sounds are no longer even, where the tone changes rapidly then there’s something wrong.
The simple explanation to this is maybe the spark plugs are not in good condition anymore. It could also caused by worn valve or piston ring.
All internal combustion engines are designed to work as a unit. The power contributed by each cylinder must be the same and in balance. The engine might still run even some part of the engine malfunction but it diminished its overall performance.
We are able to detect the problem by the change in sound or loss of power of the engine.

Redline The Movie Trailer
April 11, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Redline is another movie about hot and fast cars, hot chicks and hot action. The release date for the movie is this coming Friday the 13th but I’m not sure when it’s gonna be shown here in Malaysia.
I think I’m gonna skip watching this movie on theatre and wait for the “original” to be released in the market if you know what I mean
I do like European Sports Car but I’m more into Japanese cars which we can modified much, much cheaper. Even until I retire I don’t think I can afford a Ferrari.
Here’s the trailer.

If you haven’t seen how the new Subaru Impreza looks like, here’s the video. It debuted at the 2007 New York Auto Show.
My 2 cent: The new look doesn’t look appealing at all to me. I still prefer the old one.
