I’m not a big fan of Volkswagen Golf but here’s a spyshot of the new generation of the Volkswagen Golf. The picture was taken during the weekend in California during its test drive.
Here’s an overview of the specs. All engines are direct-injection but the output varies depend on the size of the engine. 1.4 produces 80 bhp and 1.6 produces 102 bhp. There will also be a new 1.4 turbo, a 150bhp TSI twincharger, and a 197bhp GTI and 246bhp R32.
There will be diesel engines too ranging from a 89bhp 1.6 TDI all the way up to a 168bhp 2.0 TDI. Most engines will be available with VW’s twin-clutch DSG transmission, and according to carmagazine.co.uk, the paddle-shift option will be available with seven forward ratios.

The Porsche Cayenne SUV Hybrid Prototype features a hybrid module where the clutch and electric motor is positioned between the combustion engine and the transmission. This could improve acceleration and engine flexibility compared to a conventional Cayenne.
Fuel consumption at the moment is targeted at 9.8 liters/100 kilometers (approximately 24 miles per gallon). Porsche hopes that with future developments, the fuel consumption will be at 8.9 liters/kilometer (approximately 26 miles per gallon).

2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
July 25, 2007 | 1 Comment

The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a high-performance 2-seater sports car based on the F430 and the development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology.
With its low dry weight of just 2755 lb which is 220 lb less than the F430 and the naturally aspirated 4308cc V8’s 510 bhp at 8500 rpm, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia could produce an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per bhp.

Featherweight Plastic Sport Rims

Have you ever seen a plastic wheel before? The plastic wheel or we normally call them sport rims here in Malaysia, are developed now in Germany.
The first thing car enthusiasts will do with their car is to change their stock wheels. They normally change them to better, bigger and lighter alloy rims. With the development of the plastic rims, car enthusiasts now have another option. Unfortunately the rims are not yet approved due to lack of suitable testing methods.
