Finally Subaru has released the first official images of the 2008 Impreza WRX STi after all those teaser images. The new Sti is scheduled to be launched in Japan end of this month.
Not much detail yet about the new Subaru Impreza WRX Sti but we expect to get more after Subaru unveil the Sti at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show on October 24.
The new Sti for the Japan market will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter boxer engine mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox and will be incorporated with Driver Control Center Differential (DCCD).
As for the American and European market, the STi will be powered by a 2.5 liter turbocharged boxer engine and will only be launched somewhere on Quarter 2 next year.

The subaru impreza has been my favorite car for years however im not satisfied with the new design this year it looked much better as a sedan
i think th look of the subaru legacy gt should have been used as the top performing sports car because of the dual exaust and sporty sedan look
the subaru wrx and sti should continue to look like they do as a wagon and the legacy gt’s body shape should be used as the optional WRX STI (WRC) body style
