2009 Nissan Qashqai+2 Crossover
Nissan will introduce the Nissan Qashqai+2 Crossover at the London Motor Show which is based on its highly successful Qashqai crossover, known as Dualis in other country. The significant difference between Qashqai and Qashqai+2 is that the Qashqai+2 has additional third row seats suitable for children or small adults up to about 1.6 m or 5.2 ft tall.
The Nissan Qashqai+2 has an extended wheelbase of 135 mm while the length is at 211 mm and it is 38 mm tall. Weight has also increase by 100 kg due to the extra size and seats.
There are 4 versions of engines powering the Qashqai+2 i.e. a 1.6-liter petrol delivering 84 kW and 160 Nm of torque, a 2.0-liter petrol delivering 103 kW and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel variants meanwhile comes with a Renault-Nissan 1.5 dCi producing 78 kW and 240 Nm of torque and a 2.0 dCi with a Bosch piezoelectric-controlled injection system producing 110 kW and 320 Nm of torque.
The 1.6 engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the 2.0 liter with 6-speed manual while the 4WD 2.0 dCi comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a CVT for the 4WD 2.0-liter petrol.
