2009 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

Porsche has unveiled the updated version of the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR for the 2009. The significant difference compared to the previous version is the louvered front hood to accommodate the optional A/C system due to redesigned radiator ductwork of the vehicle.

The rear wing is also more adjustable with a wider adjustment range. The 2009 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR also uses lightened brakes and wiring harness to reduce the weight and also to improve handling.

The displacement of the GT3 RSR’s rear-mounted 3.8-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine has increased to 4.0-liter thanks to the increased stroke of 80.4 mm compared to the previous 76.4 mm. The car now able to produce 450 hp at 7,800 rpm compared to the previous version which produces 465 hp at 8,000 rpm. The peak torque remains the same as the previous model at 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) at 7,250 rpm while the rev limiter is set at 9,000 rpm.

Other features include a new multi-function display above the dashboard, adjustable blink rate of the front lights for easier identification for the pit crew during night race, a new air-jack system and relocation of the oil filter for easier access.
