2009 SMS 570 Challenger

Steve Saleen and his company SMS (Steve Mark Saleen) has announced that its first Signature Series ultra-high performance vehicles are ready to go into production.

The vehicles are the SMS 570 Challenger and the SMS 570X Challenger which are based on the 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T platform featuring a SMS designed and engineered SMS 296 Supercharger installed on the 5.7-liter Hemi engine to produce 500 hp to over 700 hp.

The SMS 570 Challenger and the SMS 570X Challenger will also feature SMS Red Butterfly Induction hood and other SMS ultra-high performance components such as drivetrain, suspension, aerodynamics, tires, wheels and the interior.

The MSRP for the 2009 SMS 570 Challenger and SMS 570X Challenger are set to start at $60,000 to $70,000 and both models will carry a bumper-to-bumper factory warranty.

Love it, I’m always baffled how we got from 390 HP to 500, (some kind of mystical think going on tere.) Then you jump to 700 hp, Very respectable, however have you seen how much this thing weights. Sure wish you guys could it get it back to it’s 70′s trim. That there would be a rocket.

Yes I think the SMS 570 is awesome. But why not put a supercharger on 6.1L V8 Hemi like the Challenger SRT8 has? I guess it could be done. What would be the price?
