Hyundai has unveiled the new Equus to several journalists in South Korea, ahead of its official debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
The all-new 2010 Hyundai Equus is powered by two engine variants, the 3.8-liter V6 engine and the 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 366 hp. A bigger and more powerful engine, the 5.0-liter V8 producing 420 hp will be available sometime after its official launch.
The Hyundai Equus is 7 inches longer, 1.5 inches wider with a 4.5 inches longer wheelbase compared to the Hyundai Genesis.
The Equus is set to compete against other luxury sedans such as the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S Class and the Lexus LS460.
The 2010 Hyundai Equus features LED-lined headlights, oversized fog lights, dual exhaust, lane assist and a new computer system.
The price for the Equus in Korea is set at 130,000,000 South Korean won (approximately USD$93,471) and will be available in Korean dealership starting from March 3.
