We were first presented with the Hennessey Venom GT not long ago but Hennessey has finally unveiled the official details and images of the first production-ready 2011 Hennessey Venom GT supercar. The Venom GT with Chassis Number 01 which is based on Lotus Elise will be delivered to its new owner in the UAE.
The first production Venom GT is powered by a twin turbocharged Chevrolet LS-series aluminum V8 engine that produces 1,200 hp and 1,135 lb-ft of torque coupled to a 6-speed Ricardo manual transaxle similar to the one found in the Ford GT.
Hennessey maintain the windshield, doors, roof, floor, dash and other trim components from the Elise but the design and construction has been engineered from the ground up.
The supercar is fitted with an all-new front and rear space frame and suspension covered in a new carbon fiber body as well as an adjustable rear wing for high-speed stability.
The Venom GT is available from the base 725 hp supercharged LS9 V8 version and is customized to each customer’s specification.
The 2011 Hennessey Venom GT is available in both left and right-hand drive construction and each GT is built in Silverstone, England with its power plants sourced from Hennessey Performance Texas headquarters.
