ABT Sportsline Volkswagen Scirocco Official Details

ABT Sportsline, car tuning specialist from Germany, has officially unveiled its tuning package for the Volkswagen Scirocco. ABT Sportsline will unveil the package at the 2008 Essen Motor Show on November 28.

The ABT Sportsline Volkswagen Scirocco features new bodykit which consist of ABT front skirt, side skirts, rear skirt with ABT 4-pipe rear muffler, insert for licence plate and ABT rear wing.
The ABT VW Scirocco stands on either ABT BR or AR alloy wheels with sizes ranging from 18 to 20-inch with fitting tires and wheel spacers. The Scirocco is also fitted with ABT springs to lower the car by 30 mm.

The complete ABT Upgrade Kit for the Volkswagen Scirocco consists of the design pack, the 4-pipe rear muffler, the springs and complete wheel sets (19-inch AR alloy wheels, diamond-machined and black, plus tires and wheel spacers) is available during the launch in January 2009. The kit will be priced at 5,990 Euros.

ABT has also developed performance package, the ABT Power, for the Scirocco where the 1.4 TSI now delivers 200 hp (147 kW) instead of 160 hp (118 kW), the 2.0-liter turbo diesel delivers 170 hp (125 kW) instead of 140 hp (103 kW). Later on in the year, ABT will also develop a performance upgrade package for the Scirocco 2.0-liter TSI which could deliver 240 hp (177 kW) instead of the standard 200 hp (147 kW).

With the increase of power, the ABT Sportsline Volkswagen Scirocco is equipped with ABT Braking system which consist of 345 mm diameter discs.
