The Audi Sportback Concept shown in the leaked photos are scheduled to make its appearance at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit anytime soon.
According to some reports on the internet, the Sportback Concept represents the future four door 2+2 coupe Audi A7 which will be larger than the current Audi A6 and will go into production by mid-2010.
From the photos, the Audi A7 Sportback Concept features Audi’s design cues such as the LED headlamps and the front grille.
The Sportback is built on Audi’s new modular longitudinal build kit (LBK) which could be adjusted for length, width and height depending on the required application. The same chassis setup is expected to be used by future large Audi vehicles.
Also from the photos, the fastback roofline of the Sportback suggested that it could be a full blown hatchback.
There’s no official detail of the Audi Sportback Concept but according to some reports on the internet, the Sportback is powered by 3.0-liter TFSI turbocharged found in the A6 and the 5.0-liter twin turbo V10 engine found in the Audi RS6.
