
Carlsson Autotechnik, tuning specialist for Mercedes-Benz vehicles has unveiled its latest custom car known as the Carlsson CK63S which is based on the Mercedes-Benz C Class C 63 AMG. According to Carlsson, the CK63S has a power of a sports car and the comfort of a touring car.
The 6.3-liter V8 engine has been enhanced to produce 565 hp (415 kW), an increase of 108 hp from the standard 457 hp (336 kW) AMG engine. The maximum torque has also increases from 600 Nm to 685 Nm in the Carlsson CK63S Mercedes-Benz C Class C 63 AMG.
The Carlsson CK63S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, 0.7 seconds faster than the 4.5 seconds C Class AMG with an electronically limited speed of 300 km/h, 50 km/h faster than the C 63 AMG.
Apart from the engine enhancement, the car is also equipped with a three-part Carlsson carbon engine cover and a new exhaust system which consists of a sport rear silencer and oval stainless steel end pipes.
Race driver Ellen Lohr together with Carlsson engineers have adjusted the Carlsson running gear which allows a continuous traction and compression phase perfect for long distance trips and the perfect performance for a ride over winding country roads.
The Carlsson CK63S Mercedes-Benz C Class C 63 AMG comes with a new aerodynamic kit which consists of new front and rear spoiler and a new front spoiler lip made of Polyurethane (PU) and real carbon.
The CK63S stands on Ultra-Light series 1/16 forged light alloy wheels measuring at 8.5×19 inches on both axles or an optional 10×19 inches at the rear axle. The wheels are extremely compressed that no more pinholes or air pockets remain in the aluminum therefore save up to 40% weight.
Inside, the car features sport steering wheel with a leather or ultra-suede cover, finest ultra-suede in charcoal with a light colored decorative stitching at the doors and side parts of the seats and aluminum pedals and door pins.
