Konigseder Wide Bodykit for Smart ForTwo

Austrian tuner Konigseder has presented its wide body package for the Smart ForTwo Cabrio. The kit widens the ForTwo by 30 mm on each side and consists of wheel arches to accommodate 5-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels (7,5×17 front and 9,5×17 rear).
The body kit also consists of new front bumper with larger air intakes and a lower spoiler. The air intakes can also be found at the rear wheels arches for additional cooling for the brakes while the body gets flowery art work.
The powertrain doesn’t get any modifications but the Konigseder tuned Smart ForTwo gets a set of Eibach sport springs which lower the overall ride height thus improve the driving dynamics.
Frankly, I think it just looks like what it is - a bunch of bolt-on fiberglass pieces that detract from the Smart’s original design and only serve to make it ugly. My advice: leave the Smart alone. It’s just fine as it is.
