The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept make its debut at the Essen Motor Show. The RaVe 270 is capable to produce 270 PS from its turbocharged 4-cylinder TSI direct gasoline injection.
The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept interior features leather bucket seats, powerful 1,400 Watt sound system based on the brand-new RNS 510 radio-navigation system.
The Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept was developed and built by Volkswagen Individual in “Biscay Blue” color and it is the most powerful Golf Variant of all times with modifications made to the Golf GTI engine and the 4Motion all-wheel drive of the Golf R32.
The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept is powered with a 198 kW / 270 PS 4-cylinder TSI engine which is based on the engine of the Golf GTI Edition 30 whose power was already boosted from 147 kW / 200 PS to 169 kW / 230 PS. Additional 40 PS power comes from the modifications made to the turbocharger, intercooling and engine electronics. The Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept achieves 270 PS at 6,000 rpm and with the maximum torque of 350 Nm at a low 3,000 rpm.
The 4Motion all-wheel drive is introduced for the first time to the RaVe 270 concept car where power is transmitted to the front and rear axles by DSG dual clutch transmission. This transmission shifts gears in fractions of a second, faster than any race car driver can.
The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept clocked 5.8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and 20.8 seconds from 0 to 200 km/h.
At the exterior, the Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept features modified bumpers, radiator grille, side skirts, taillights, headlamps, even the mirrors. Other features includes xenon headlamps with daylight running lamps in LED technology also intergrated, two twin-fluted tailpipes on the left and right, chrome roof rail, chrome mirror caps, chrome window trim, 19 inch “Zaragoza” type alloy wheels, 18 inch Brembo braking system and the car is lowered by 20mm.
