Mazda Crossover SUV Concept

Mazda has announced that it will unveil its latest concept car at the 2008 Moscow International Automobile Salon to the public starting from 29 August through 7 September 2008. The theme for Mazda at the motor show is “crosswinds”.
The new concept car is a sporty, compact crossover designed especially for the Russian market and will be developed based on the new design direction called Nagare which follows the footsteps of Nagare, Ryuga, Hakaze, Taiki and Furai concept cars.

Mazda RX-9 Speculation

Rhoadwh, a Fomoconews forum member has posted his version of the new Mazda RX 9. The RX-9 is based on Mazda’s latest Taiki and Furai concepts.

Starting with the Taiki, I changed the controversial rear quarter panel and boot to follow the rear quarter panel lines of the FD3S RX-7. This created a large vent under the driver and passenger doors that could function as cooling vents for the engine and transmission oil coolers. Then I used design elements from the Furai to inject the racing heritage all RX-7’s are known for. In the end, this created a vision of what the new RX-9 could look like in 2012.

Mazda Biante 8-Seater Minivan

Mazda has presented its new minivan, the Mazda Biante which goes on sale in Japan this summer. The word Biante means “Ambient” in English.
The Biante is designed by Iwao Koizumi, the designer who originally designed the Mazda6 (or Atenza in Japan) and also the Mazda CX-7.

US-Spec 2009 Mazda6

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) recently has announced that the second generation US-Spec 2009 Mazda6 will be revealed in late summer, 2008. The 4-door sedan Mazda6 will be available in 3 versions, Sport, Touring and Grand Touring.
The North American Mazda6 differs to the rest of the Mazda6 in the world in term of its size, engine and styling. The car will be larger at the exterior and interior and the engine will b more powerful.

Mazda3 MPS Rally Car

Mazda Australia has released its new Mazda3 MPS Rally Car for the Targa Tasmania rally which will be held from 15 April until 20 April and covers 2,000 km over 5 days of competition.
The Mazda 3 MPS rally car is powered by a 2.3 liter direct injection, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission producing 255 hp (190kW) and 380 Nm of torque.

2008 Mazda RX-8 Facelift

Last January, we were presented with the new facelifted Mazda RX-8 Type RS at the Tokyo Auto Salon but the details were still not available.
Now Mazda has released the details of the new facelifted Mazda RX-8 including the new model i.e. the RX-8 Type RS. Other models including the base model RX-8, Type E and Type S.
Some improvement have been done to improve the RX-8 performance such as new water and oil pumps to improve the performance of the engine, revised gear ratios and redesigned body structure to improve the aerodynamics and rigidity.

Mazda 5 Facelift for European Market

The multi-activity vehicle (MAV) Mazda 5 was first released in 2005 and this year, Mazda released the facelifted version of the Mazda 5 to the European market.
The exterior of the new Mazda 5 Facelift features new front and rear bumper design, new front and rear lamp design, new front grille design with sporty honeycomb mesh, new 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheel designs, 11 body colors including 7 new colors, new Sports Appearance Package.
At the interior, the Mazda 5 features 2 new black trim packages with either titanium-look or black center panel and gear selector panel, and an optional New black leather interior. The Karakuri seating and storing system, and the sliding door still remains.

Mazda RX-8 Limited Edition in Australia

Mazda Australia will reveal the Mazda RX-8 Limited Edition at the Brisbane Motor Show on 1 February 2008. The limited edition is not the same model as the facelifted Mazda RX-8 RS that was revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon and at the 2008 NAIAS.
The release of the limited edition Mazda RX-8 is in conjunction with the RX-8 Rotary Engine 40th Anniversary. There will be only 200 units available to be sold in Australia and will be priced at $55,840 AUD.
