Fiat has created 200 units of the special edition Fiat 500 which is based on the Sport version for the Ferrari sales network.

The Fiat 500 was chosen as Ferrari’s “courtesy car” or a loaner car for its customers during servicing.

O.CT Tuning Fiat 500

Austrian Tuner, Oberscheider Chip Tuning or also known as O.CT Tuning has presented its version of modified Fiat 500 which focuses more on increasing the engine performance and also improvement with the suspension system.

The O.CT Tuning Fiat 500 is powered by a 1.3L Multijet engine producing 90 hp (66 kW) and 180 Nm of torque, an improvement from its stock 75 hp (55 kW) and 145 Nm. This made possible with the help of a new high-flow intake system, sports exhaust and reprogrammed ECU.

Fiat 500 Abarth Official Images and Details

Fiat 500 Abarth

Previously I’ve posted about the leaked image of the Fiat 500 Abarth and now the official images and details of the new 500 Abarth was released by Fiat. The Fiat 500 Abarth will make its debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show in March.

The new Fiat 500 Abarth was developed by Fiat Group Automobiles Style Center and it’s powered by a turbocharged 1.4 16-Valve petrol engine, producing 135 bhp at 5,500 rpm with peak torque of 206 Nm (152 lb.ft) at 3,000 rpm during Sport mode. The torque is lower during Normal mode at 180 Nm (132 lb.ft) at 2,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, with dual cable external gearbox control. Apart from that, the 500 Abarth meets Euro 5 emission standards.

Fiat 500 Abarth

The sport version of the Fiat 500 dubbed the Fiat 500 Abarth is set to debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. The 500 Abarth features new bodykit which consists of new bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, roof spoiler and wider fenders to accommodate new larger alloy wheels.

It was reported from other sites that the Abarth will be equipped with Fiat’s 1.4-liter turbocharged engine producing between 120 hp and 150 hp.

2009 Lancia Delta

Before this, I’ve posted about the new 2009 Lancia Delta that will be unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show this March. Today, 3 more leaked images of the Lancia Delta are available on the internet.

The Lancia Delta will be set in the C and D-segment market together with Fiat Bravo, Volkswagen Golf, Ford Mondeo, Skoda Octavia and others.

2009 Lancia Delta

Yesterday I posted about the new Lancia Delta that will debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show and today, Lancia releases the first official images and details of how the actual Lancia Delta looks like. The Lancia Delta is similar to the Delta HPE Concept which is based on the Fiat Bravo.

Even though it is based on the Fiat Bravo, the production Delta hatch is larger with 4.5 m long, 1.8 m wide and 1.5 m tall.

Lancia Plans for Future Car Models

Lancia Delta HPE Concept

Lancia, an Italian automobile manufacturer founded in 1906 by Vincenzo Lancia, which became part of the Fiat Group in 1969 has revealed their plan for future models.

First of all, Lancia will launch their new Lancia Delta this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The Lancia Delta will be similar to the 5-door hatchback that was first revealed as the Delta HPE Concept at the 2006 Geneva show. The Lancia Delta is based on the Fiat Bravo platform. The Lancia Delta will be a more luxurious and a bit bigger than the Fiat Bravo and features leather or Alcantara interior.

2008 Fiat Grande Punto Abarth

The Fiat Grande Punto Abarth is fitted with a turbocharged 1.4 liter 4-cylinder 16v engine which could deliver 155 hp at 5500 rpm with a maximum torque of 206 Nm at 5000 rpm which is mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Fiat claimed that the engine top speed is 208 km/h and could the Abarth could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds. The maximum torque could be increase 10 % more to 230 Nm at 3000 rpm when “power boost” mode is activated, and the electric power-assisted steering modifies the setting to give a sportier feel.

Apart from its high performance characteristic, it is also safe, and environmentally friendly. Safe in term of the redesigned of the car’s brake system to cope with the improved performance. There are disc brakes on all wheels, and the front brakes are ventilated with a Brembo fixed dual-piston caliper. Environmentally friendly because it complies with the Euro 4 approved engine legislation on noise and emissions.
