Lotus Evora Carbon Concept

Apart from the Evora 414E Hybrid, Lotus also debuted the Lotus Evora Carbon Concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

At the exterior, the Evora Carbon Concept features water based white pearlesent paint, carbon fiber roof, carbon diffuser and carbon splitter. The car retains the high-tech aluminum bonded and extruded chassis found in the production model.

Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid

Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid

Lotus has officially unveiled the Evora 414E Hybrid at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The Lotus Evora is powered by two electric motors that produce 204 bhp (152 kW) each and up to 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.

The Evora also comes with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder Lotus Range Extender engine that produces 47 bhp (35 kW). The engine is meant to recharge the batteries and provide an extended range of about 480 km.

Lotus Exige S Type 72

To commemorate Lotus return to the Formula One, the people at Lotus has developed a limited edition Lotus Exige S known as Type 72. Between 1970 and 1975, Lotus has achieved 20 Grand Prix victories. The Lotus Type 72 was driven by Jochen Rindt, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ronnie Peterson and Jacky Ickx and won three Formula One Constructors’ Championships (1970, 1972 and 1973) and two Drivers’ World Championships (in 1970 by Jochen Rindt and in 1972 by Emerson Fittipaldi).

The Lotus Exige S Type 72 is powered by a supercharged mid-engine with intercooler that comes with VVTL-i technology. The 935 kg Exige S Type 72 sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds with the top speed of233 km/h (145 mph).

UK Garage Lotus Extrema

UK Garage Lotus Extrema

UK Garage, car tuner from Italy, has presented its upgrade package for the Lotus Exige Mark 1 known as the Extrema.

The UK Garage Lotus Extrema is available in various GM engines with the 2.6-liter PowerTech V8 engine with 360 hp as the entry level followed by the 2.8-liter V8 PowerTech V8 engine producing 450 hp (331 kW) or a 3.4-liter PowerTech V8 engine producing 560 hp (412 kW). By using the PowerTech engine, the total weight of the car doesn’t exceed 750 kg.

Project Kahn Lotus Elise

Project Kahn, UK based car tuning specialist, has unveiled its styling package for the Lotus Elise in conjunction with the 60th anniversary project for Lotus.

At the exterior, the Project Kahn Lotus Elise features front spoiler, ventilated front wings, side sills, rear spoiler and larger side intake ducts and a sports exhaust system. Inside, the car features full leather trim.

Lotus Evora Official Details and Images

Lotus Evora

Lotus has officially unveiled the new Lotus Evora which was initially known as the Lotus Project Eagle at the 2008 British International Motor Show. According to Lotus, the Evora is the world’s only mid-engined 2+2.

The Lotus Evora was designed in-house by Lotus Design which was led by Russel Carr, Head of Lotus Design, with Steven Crijns, the Design Manager and Anthony Bushell, Senior Designer who is responsible for the interior.

Inside, the Evora features high-tech technology such as the Alpine multi-media system with a 7 inch touch-screen provides advanced audio, satellite navigation, video, Bluetooth hands-free telephone and iPod connectivity functions. The screen can also be used as a monitor for the optional reversing camera.
