Peugeot 308 Hatchback with Stop & Start Technology

Peugeot will unveil the 308 hatchback at the Paris Motor Show which is equipped with the Stop & Stop technology that will only make its appearance on Peugeot’s production line from 2011.

The Peugeot 308 is powered by a 1.6-liter HDi engine with FAP (particulate emission filter) mated to an electronically-controlled 6 speed manual gearbox (BMP6) that produces 112 bhp (82 kW) that consumes only 4.1 liter/100 km with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km in the combined cycle.

Peugeot 207 CC ELLE Special Edition

Peugeot UK together with ELLE magazine has organized a car design competition for ELLE magazine readers where the winning car designs were then put into production by Peugeot.

There were 4 winning designs and each has its own exterior and interior color combinations. They are Glamour Mode (Thorium Grey Metallic exterior with black leather and Mulberry interior), Classic Couture (Lacerta Yellow exterior with black leather and graphite interior), Rock Chic (Diamond black exterior with black leather and pale pink interior) and Urban Chic (Silver exterior and black leather with bright blue interior).

Peugeot 207 Le Mans Series Special Edition

Peugeot has released the special edition version of the Peugeot 207 to honor the diesel powered 908 HDi FAP Le Mans race car after it secure the top three positions in qualifying for the 24 hours Le Mans endurance race.

The Peugeot 207 Le Mans Series special edition is powered by three engine types, starting with the 110 hp 1.6 HDi 16V DPFS and 150 hp 1.6 HPT 16V engines receiving a chrome-plated single exhaust pipe while the top of the range is the 175 hp 1.6 HPT 16V engine receiving a chrome-plated dual exhaust pipe.

Peugeot 308 RC Z Coupe

The Peugeot 308 RC Z Coupe Concept was actually first unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year and it was expected to be just a concept. However, some websites have reported that Peugeot will officially announced that the Peugeot 308 RC Z will go into production next year.

At the exterior, we can see that the 308 RC Z Coupe resembles the Audi TT and the chassis will be lightened weighing at 1,200 kg. The final production version is set to be priced at €23k.

Peugeot 308 GT THP 175

Peugeot will debut the Peugeot 308 GT THP 175 at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show next month which is based on the existing 3-door Peugeot 308. The 308 GT THP 175 is powered by a 1.6 liter turbocharged petrol engine that can be found from the 207 GTi THP 175.

The Peugeot 308 GT THP 175 will only be available in 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.6 liter turbocharged engine used is also the same type that can be found in the BMW Mini Cooper S. The 308 GT THP 175 clocked 8.3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and achieves a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). The fuel consumption is at 37.1 mpg and emit 180 g/km of CO2.

The Peugeot Bipper Beep Beep Concept Van

The Peugeot Bipper “Beep Beep” Concept Van debuted at the 2007 Bologna Motor Show that is held from 7 to 16 December 2007 in Italy. The Bipper Concept is available in 2 versions i.e. 1.4 liter Petrol and 1.4 litre HDi Diesel. It shares most of it’s character with Peugeot’s LMS Championship winning Peugeot 908 HDi FAP race car.

The color scheme is the same as the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP with matt black sides, red bonnet and roof and a white stripe running over the vehicle, stylised lion’s head of Peugeot Sport at the side with the numbers 7 and 8 adjacent to the side windows. To mimic the visors of the 908 driver’s helmets, the windows are tinted in gold.

The brakes are now upgraded to 313 mm diameter discs at the front. The Peugeot Bipper “Beep Beep” Concept Van is fitted with black 18” alloy wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 225/45 R 18 tyres.

2007 Peugeot 308 RC Z Concept

The 308 RC Z concept car is a 2+2 coupe, powered by a 1.6 liter THP engine developed from the EP6DTS engine. PSA Peugeot Citroen and the BMW Group designed and developed the engine which produces 175 bhp which is installed onto the 207 RC.

The new 1.6 liter THP engine that comes with a new engine management software now produces a maximum power of 218 bhp and 207 lb-ft of torque at a low engine speed (221 lb-ft in overboost).

Peugeot 908 RC Concept 2006

Peugeot’s V12 HDi DPFS (Diesel Particulate Filter System) diesel engine powered the 908 RC Concept. The capacity of the engine is 5.5 litres with a maximum output of more than 700 bhp and 885 lb-ft of torque. The engine is arranged at the central transverse position with a 100 degree V angle architecture, and this contribute to the lowest possible centre of gravity.

The original idea when they were creating the car was to have a limousine that could offer its four occupants a new driving sensation but the end results however were more than they expected.
