Vauxhall VXR8 Gets LS3 V8

The Vauxhall VXR8 can be considered as the re-badge of the Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) Clubsport R8 marketed in Australia. The UK market Vauxhall VXR8 rear-wheel drive super saloon is getting a new V8 engine which will increase its power and performance.
The new 6.2 liter engine that will power the VXR8 is known as the LS3, where it replace the outgoing 6.0 liter LS2. The engine is fitted with high-flow cylinder heads, new pistons and an enhanced valvetrain.

The Holden VE Commodore Omega 60th Anniversary Special Edition features Electronic Stability Program (ESP), 6 airbags and air conditioning as standard on all models.

Holden Captiva SUV 60th Anniversary Special Edition

Holden or officially GM Holden Ltd, is General Motors subsidiary in Australia, has released the special edition Captiva SUV (Chevrolet Captiva elsewhere).
The Holden Captiva SUV 60th Anniversary Special Edition is based on the Captiva LX trim featuring impressive list of standard features. The Captiva is on sale starting 1 May and is priced starting from $43,990 for the petrol variant and $44,990 for the diesel variant.

Holden Coupe 60

Holden unveiled the Holden Coupe 60 at the Melbourne Auto Show where the coupe honors Holden’s 60th diamond anniversary in the automotive industry.
The Holden Coupe 60 is a pillarless, rear-wheel drive concept car with side-exiting chambered exhaust system with billet alloy tips. The Coupe 60 is also 60 mm shorter than the VE sedan and stands on 21-inch center-lock alloy wheels wrapped with unique design Kumho high performance semi-slick tires.
Other features include full flat under body, rear underbody air diffuser and functional rear deck-lid spoiler with unique designed LED tail lamps. On the interior, the Holden Coupe 60 features one piece carbon fiber bucket seats (featuring leather and suede pad design) and a sports-inspired flat bottomed steering wheel with integrated shift light display and LCD sports instrument cluster.

Holden Special Vehicles Supercar W427

Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) unveiled its 7-liter Supercar W427 at the 2008 Melbourne Motor Show in conjunction with the company’s 20th anniversary celebrations. The final paint scheme, Panorama Silver, is the same as the original Group A SS VL Commodore that was released exactly 20 years ago at the 1988 Melbourne Motor Show.
According to HSV Managing Director, Scott Grant, the W427 could quite possibly the fastest road registrable Supercar ever produced in Australia and among the quickest anywhere around the world and also will be one of the safest cars HSV has ever put on the road. The power output is yet to be known but it was reported to deliver 370 kW of power and 640 Nm of torque.
