Datsun XLink Concept

Benjamin Nawka, a German car design student at Pforzheim University, has created the Datsun XLink Concept at the Yulon Nissn Design Center in Taiwan under the supervision of Koju Huang, Toshiyuki Shimazaki and Yusuke Kojima in cooperation with Taiwan based modelling company San Yuan.

The purpose of the Datsun XLink Concept is to interpret a possible reintroduction of the Datsun brand with the C-segment 4-door coupe XLink.

According to carbodydesign, the Datsun Xlink could fit 4 passengers, has a 380 liter trunk and is powered by a Two-Mode Diesel Hybrid.

The car design is inspired by aircraft (winglets) and architecture thus the usage of plexi-glass. Other features are DLR lights, LEDs for mood lighting, integration of dead angle and rear mirror cameras, XLink Experience communication system, coincide mode navigation system and height adjustable chassis that allows the car to be driven on bad roads and paths.

The 1/4 scale model of the Datsun XLink Concept was presented at the Pforzheim Graduate Show 2008 at the Pforzheim Congress Ceneter on 11-12 July 2008 and if it were to enter production, target competitors are Scion, Mini and Alfa Romeo.
