Edo Competition Motorsport GmbH in Ahlen has modified the Porsche Carrera GT to produce 670, 715 and even 770 hp, instead of 612 hp in the Porsche Carrera GT.
This performance were able to be achieved with the modification made to the intake system, re-calibrated engine controls, high flow air filters and new header catalytic converters. The exhaust system is made of a full stainless steel featuring electronic programmable butterfly-valve control.
The cat-back exhaust system was developed on the dynamometer and this resulted in a power increase of 19 kW (25 hp) and a 30 Nm (22 ft-lb) increase in torque and in addition, it’s 18kg (40 lbs) lighter. The rear wing of the Edo Porsche Carrera GT is also made entirely of carbon fiber.
The suspension system has also been upgraded to 3-way adjustable edo/KW Competition shock absorbers and sports suspension system. According to Edo, the 3-way adjustable shock absorbers come with gas mono-tube shocks that are adjustable for compression and rebound and feature a remote oil reservoir. The damping forces can be adjusted individually. An electro-hydraulic nose lift system will come as an optional feature.
For optimum grip the Edo Competition Porsche Carrera GT is fitted with a set of 18 inch forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires (Front: 265/35 18, Rear: 345/30 18).
