Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) unveil its new special edition GT Cobra and Cobra Ute in Australia during a parade lap of Mount Panorama prior to the start of the 2007 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

Both the GT Cobra and the Cobra Ute will be powered by FPV’s latest high performance Boss 5.4-litre quad-cam 32 valve V8 engine, which produces 302kW (404 hp) and 540 Nm of torque and both also come with FPV stainless steel fabricated exhaust manifolds and a high-flow dual exhaust system.

There will be two types of transmission i.e. either a close ratio six-speed manual transmission with a high torque clutch or the ZF six-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift.

For outstanding chassis dynamics, FPV’s innovative R Spec handling package comes as standard to the GT Cobra.

In the interior, the seats are wrapped in leather that carry the coiled Cobra snake logo and they come as standard for both versions.

The FVP Cobra is fitted with special 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with white accents and a machined face finish wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 245/35ZR tires.

There will be only 400 sedans and 100 Utes to be produced and the recommended price for the GT Cobra Sedan is AUD 65,110 whereas the Cobra Ute will be priced at AUD 61,200.
