Giugiaro Quaranta Concept
Italdesign Giugiaro has released few teaser images of its new concept car previously here and here and it turns out the new concept is the Giugiaro Quaranta Concept. The Quaranta is an ecological, 4WD super-sportscar, the first mid-engine hybrid car with spacious cabin able to accommodate 3 adults and a baby comfortably.
The Quaranta Concept marks Giugiaro’s 40 years of total commitment to automotive styling research and technology. With its aerodynamic design inspired by latest research in F1, the Quaranta could clocked 4 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and it achieve the top speed of 250 km/h.
The Giugiaro Quaranta Concept is powered by the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive technology, implemented by a solar energy power plant inserted in the structure of the vehicle. The Quaranta Concept will make its debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show on March 4 which is next week.
