Grinding Sound From Brakes When Stopping The Car

When you drive your car and you depress the brake pedal to stop, you hear grinding noise but the noise stops when you release the brake pedal. The car could also veer to one side or the other when you depress the brake pedal.
Please take seriously when you hear grinding sound while braking. This is because the braking efficiency is reduced when the friction material of the brake pads or shoes has worn out. If the car veers to other side while braking, you could lose control of your car. The brake might also lock up and cause the car to skid. If the friction material has worn out, you can’t simply stop the car.
If you are planning to replace the brake pads and brake lining, make sure you install with quality products because there are also poor quality products in the market. Ask the mechanic about the warranty. Better quality brakes usually have lifetime warranty. Relined brakes mean you’ll be getting old brake shoes with new friction material. Better quality brakes come with new brake shoes and new brake pads or linings.
