Honda S2000 Type S

The Honda S2000 Type S will be unveiled at the 2007 and it’s based on the Honda S2000. The significant difference that we can see at the exterior are the huge spoiler and the whole new aerodynamic bodykits.

Other new features from the S2000 Type S are firmer suspension, increased body and chassis rigidity and reduced overall weight.

The Type S is powered by a 2.2 liter 4-cylinder DOHC engine which produces 237 hp and 220 Nm of torque

The price for the Honda S2000 Type S in Japan starts at 3,800,000 yen.

Nice, but not too sure about the wing. They could have made it retractable. But overall the car looks good.

Well in Japan there are different environmental standards. They not better or worse they just different, so engine is more attuned to local standard. If you recall the engine in original s2000 was 2 liter 240 HP with 120-130 lbs of torque. To increase torque the displacement was bored (that what I read/recall). When engine was bored the HP output was slightly up, but last year the SAE measurement was modified/adjusted and everyone HP went south. I don’t know if this the same Performance Honda Partthat was originally introduced measured in Japan and adhering to Japanese horses (they maybe smaller horses so more of them fit under bonnet :) )
