Hot Volvo C30 Hatch

The Volvo C30 is a three-door hatch designed to take on rivals such as the Audi A3 and BMW 1-series. With its 215 bhp turbocharged version it could compete with the VW Golf GTI and Ford Focus ST.
The main purpose of Volvo is to attract younger buyers especially the Audi A3 owners.
The range of the engine will include 5-cylinder turbocharged unit from Ford Focus ST and it will be detuned to 217 bhp.There will also be a 1.6 litre petrol producing 99 bhp and a 1.6 litre diesel which produces 107 bhp. The most powerful diesel version would be a 5-cylinder version producing 178 bhp.
The car is a four-seater and the rear seats will be located closer to the centre of the car for better visibility.
Options available will be a 10-speakerhi-fi and Volvo’s Blind Spot Information system. Side airbags will be standard for all C30 version.
