Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition


It is reported that the new Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition is equipped with an engine that is capable to run on biofuel and overthrown Bugatti Veyron as the world’s fastest car.
The Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition features a cast-aluminum V8 engine capable of running on biofuel. With the burning the ethanol in E85 biofuel results in the cooling of combustion chambers and this combined with a higher octane rating produces 1,018 hp at 7,200 rpm and peak torque of 1,060 Nm at 6,100 rpm
The 4.7 L V8 engine features a 4-valve double overhead cam design with a 8.2:1 compression ratio, a sequential multipoint fuel injection and a Twin Rotrex centrifugal superchargers for up to 1.5 bar boost pressure. The Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition achieves 10.7 mpg (22 L/100 km) on the combined highway/city fuel cycle.
The Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition accelerates from 0-100 km/h takes in 2.9 seconds with the top speed of above 400 km/h. The Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition is priced at 1.5 million euros.
