Lexus Australia has unveiled the sports-inspired Lexus IS250 at the 2008 Australian International Motor Show which is equipped with a number of performance and visual enhancements.
The Lexus IS250 Sports Concept features front and rear lip spoilers and painted in striking lightweight graphite gray. The car stands on 10-spoke, 19-inch forged aluminum wheels.
Performance upgrades include new braking system consists of larger cross-drilled, two-piece brake rotors at front and rear, Bilstein shock absorbers and springs, sway bars, chassis braces, a performance air intake, a carbon-fiber engine cover, a short shift kit, a performance clutch and a stainless steel “cat-back” exhaust system.
With the help of the performance air intake, the Lexus IS250 Sports Concept could achieve a 3 % power increase while the performance exhaust helps to increase the power by 1.5 %. The short shift kit reduces the fore and aft gearshift movement by 35 % for the cars with manual transmission while the performance clutch delivers a 16 % increase in clamping force.
