
Litchfield, Subaru tuning specialist, has unveiled its latest tuning package for the 2008 JDM Subaru Impreza STI known as Type-20 which made its first appearance at the Autosport show.
According to the company owner, Ian Litchfield, the Litchfield Subaru Impreza STI Type-20 has more than enough performance ability to match the latest Supercars costing many times the price.
The Litchfield Subaru Impreza STI Type-20 is powered by the 2.0-liter EJ207 turbocharged engine that has been tuned to produce 400 PS at 7,500 rpm and 508 Nm (375 lb-ft) of maximum torque at 3,500 rpm. The Litchfield Subaru Impreza STI Type-20 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 165 mph.
The key to the extra power comes from the Litchfield’s Twinscroll Turbo co-developed with its partner, Turbo Dynamics, that not only maintains the spool up characteristics of the standard turbo but also the airflow of a much larger unit.
The Impreza STI Type-20 is equipped with bi-spoke AST adjustable suspension, re-valved steering, lengthened wheel base and upgrade polyurethane chassis bushes to enhanced its stability, handling and also the ride comfort.
Other features include 365 mm Alcon 6-Pot brakes, a larger front grille, STI front lip spoiler, quad exhaust, 18”x8.5” multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP600 tires, 35 mm lower ride height, satellite navigation, Thatcham approved category 1 Alarm system, Trackstar GPS security and UK CD /MP3 player with Bluetooth phone connection.
