Mazda 5 Facelift for European Market

The multi-activity vehicle (MAV) Mazda 5 was first released in 2005 and this year, Mazda released the facelifted version of the Mazda 5 to the European market.
The exterior of the new Mazda 5 Facelift features new front and rear bumper design, new front and rear lamp design, new front grille design with sporty honeycomb mesh, new 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheel designs, 11 body colors including 7 new colors, new Sports Appearance Package.
At the interior, the Mazda 5 features 2 new black trim packages with either titanium-look or black center panel and gear selector panel, and an optional New black leather interior. The Karakuri seating and storing system, and the sliding door still remains.
The powertrains of the facelifted Mazda 5 comes in 4 versions which focus on fuel efficiency, less CO2 emmission and also with Automatic Transmission. The MZR 2.0-litre petrol engine now comes with sequential valve timing (S-VT) and new oxygen sensor. The engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission produces 146 hp (107 kW) at 6,500 rpm with the maximum torque of 185 Nm at 4,000 rpm, 500 rpm lower than before. The Mazda 5 now consumes 0.3 liters (4 %) less fuel per 100 km and produces 11 g/km less CO2. 5-speed automatic transmission is optional.
Other version is the MZR 1.8-litre petrol engine producing 115 hp (85 kW) at 5,300 rpm and maximum torque of 165 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine consumes 0.3 litres (4 %) less fuel per 100 km and produces 8 g/km less CO2.
The diesel powered engine comes in 2 versions i.e. the Standard Power MZR-CD 2.0-liter common-rail turbo diesel producing 110 hp (81 kW) at 3,500 rpm and maximum torque of 310 Nm at 2,000 rpm, and the High Power MZR-CD 2.0-litre common-rail turbo diesel producing 143 hp (105 kW) at 3,500 rpm and maximum torque of 360 Nm at 2,000 rpm. Both versions use 0.2 litres (3 %) less fuel per 100 km and produce 11 g/km less CO2.
The suspension system and the safety features have also been upgraded in addition to the previous Mazda 5.
