Mitsubishi is going greener with the release of the Mitsubishi Concept cX images. The cX will be unveil at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The Concept cX is a AWD concept car.

The idea behind the cX is due to the “Environment Initiative Program 2010″. The purpose of the cX is to reveal Mitsubishi’s latest Euro 5-compliant clean diesel technology. Mitsubishi also plan to have the greener technology to be implemented to its production cars in 2009.

The “shark-nosed” front end looks similar to the new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. The cX is powered with a 1.9L diesel that could produces 134hp (100kW) and 280Nm (206lb-ft) of torque.

The cX also equipped with a turbine geometry turbocharger, diesel particulate filter and catalyst. New dual clutch SST automated manual transmission will also be installed. The purpose of the new dual clutch is to provide smooth gear changes and more efficient power delivery.

Other environment friendly stuff are installed in the cX such as a new organic resin made from bamboo and the interior trim such as the floor mats, door trim, tail gate trim and seat back panels are made of plant materials.
