
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has announced that it will unveil the Lancer Sportback and lancer Sportback Ralliart at the 2008 Paris Motor Show from October 2 through October 19.
The Lancer Sportback is a 5-door sport hatchback and powered by 109 PS 1.5-liter, 143 PS 1.8-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engines or by a 140 PS 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine. A new diesel engine is expected in spring of 2009. Standard feature for the Lancer Sportback is the auto-folding function which enhances luggage compartment.
The Lancer Sportback Ralliart meanwhile is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder DOHC MIVEC turbocharged engine producing maximum output of 240 PS (177 kW) and maximum torque of 343 Nm. The engine is mated to Mitsubishi’s high-efficiency Twin Clutch SST transmission with an Active Center Differential to send torque to each wheel. It also comes with 2-pot caliper front brakes and a larger brake master cylinder.
