Piecha Design, car tuner from Germany, has released its new performance RS package for the Mercedes-Benz SLK R171.
The Piecha Design Mercedes-Benz SLK R171 Performance RS features a complete new bumper with LED daytime headlights, a wide central spoiler sword and additional brake channel, integrated fog lamps and lateral double gills, rounded side skirts with large air intake channels at the rear, optional LED skirt lamps, tear-shaped sports mirrors, new rear skirt with wide grille insert, diffuser and additional under-floor wings, optional rear skirt with cut-outs for the serial exhaust system or 4-pipe exhaust systems and rear spoiler lip.
The exhaust system has been upgraded with Piecha QUADRO exhausts systems delivered as a half system from the catalytic converter which is mounted to the original flange connections without any cutting. The 6-cylinder SLKs are equipped with a flow-optimised X-pipe-adapter while the 4-cylinder models are equipped with an adequate connection pipe with V-flange adapter.
The Piecha Design SLK R171 stands on matching wheel/tire combinations of 19-inch and 19/20-inch Phantom wheels. The 19-inch wheels measured at 8.5×19” wrapped with 225/35 ZR 19 at the front and 9.5×19” wrapped with 255/30 ZR 19 tires at the rear. The 19/20-inch combination meanwhile consists of 8.5×19” with 225/35 ZR 19 tires at the front and 9.5×20” drop-center rims wrapped with 265/25 ZR 20 tires at the rear. The car has also been lowered by 30 mm.
Other features include aerowings for the hood, comfort vario roof module with “one touch function” and the possibility to open or close the roof at up to 60 km/h, power converter, door pins with high-quality aluminum and real glass wind deflector with perforated inserts for the roll-bar.
