The Porsche Cayenne GTS was unveiled at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show and offers the best on-road characteristics of any Cayenne. The Porsche Cayenne is well known for its on and off-road handling characteristics.
The Cayenne GTS is powered by the same Porsche 4.8 liter, direct injection V-8 engine as the Cayenne S but produces more power at 405 hp with some modifications and a larger intake manifold. The V-8 engine is mated for the first time to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Porsche Cayenne GTS is fitted with 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 295/35 R21 tires. The GTS uses standard air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management to achieve its outstanding street handling characteristic.
