Renault Mégane Versions Upgrade

Renault has announced that they have simplified the product range for the previous Mégane product versions (Authentique, Expression, Dynamique and Privilège) to the new Extrême, Impulsion and Exception versions.
The Mégane range now has two pillars, Comfort and Sport and they come with 4 new option packs such as Safety Pack, Techno Pack, Premium Pack and Leather Pack that could offer customers savings of up to 38%.
For the Mégane Saloon and Mégane Coupe, the Authentique version will be replaced by the Extrême version which features 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels, foglamps, the Audio Connection Box, dark charcoal leather steering wheel and gear lever knob, Papeete upholstery with dark blue cushion and seatback inserts.
The Expression versions has been replaced by the Impulsion equipment level and come with the previous specs with additional rear parking proximity sensor, leather steering wheel and gear lever knob. Available only in Mégane Saloon, the Carminat version comes with the same upgrades, as well as the second-generation Carminat Intelligent Navigation system.
As for the previous Dynamique and Privilège versions, they are now combined into Exception version. They have the same feature as the Dynamique version but comes with additional rear parking proximity sensor, mixed leather-fabric upholstery and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Mégane Estate also comes with the Extrême, Impulsion and Exception versions. As for the 4-door Mégane Saloon, the Authentique and Expression versions will be replaced by the new Extrême and Impulsion versions. The Authentique version of the Mégane Coupe-Cabriolet meanwhile will be replaced by the Extrême version.
All the Mégane models that come with the 130hp 1.9 dCi engine without particulate filter and the 2.0 16V engine with manual transmission have now been deleted from the product range.
As for the look, all models except Mégane Renault Sport now come with a chrome surround for the grille’s top air intakes. Except for the Privilège version of Mégane Coupe Cabriolet, all Exception models will also feature a chrome strip between the foglamps in the lower part of the front bumper.
