Rhys Millen Racing (RMR) has officially unveiled its latest tuning project on the all-new 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T at the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas known as the RMR “Art of Speed” Genesis Coupe.
Hyundai Motor America was approached by RMR in February 2008 and was given the Genesis Coupe 2.0T on August 8. The RMR crew of six have only 12 weeks to build the RMR Art of Speed Genesis Coupe before the debut at SEMA on November 4 in Las Vegas. RMR also fabricated aftermarket parts and accessories for the Genesis Coupe which will be among the first available when the car is on sale next year.
Inside, the Art of Speed Genesis Coupe features a custom-fabricated eight-point safety cage and firewall and Sparco racing seat.
At the exterior, the Genesis Coupe features carbon fiber body panels, hood, deck lid, roof, doors, fenders, front fascia and side skirts made of carbon fiber, fully adjustable APR GTC-500 rear wing, vented hood and fiber glass rear widebody fenders.
The suspension system has been upgraded with KW coilover suspension with two-way adjustable damping technology, adjustable chrome molly sway bars and fabricated adjustable lower control arms.
The RMR Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is equipped with a Turbonetics turbocharger, waistgate and blow-off valve to provide extra horsepower and torque. The coupe is also equipped with RMR custom intake manifold for better breathing.
The RMR Art of Speed Hyundai Genesis Coupe stands on 18-inch SSR type-F competition lightweight wheels measuring at 18×9.5” at the front and 18×10.5” at the rear, wrapped with Bridgestone Potenza soft compound race tires. The car also uses Brembo brake callipers to enhance the braking system.
