The Saab 9-4X BioPower Concept leaked images were released on the internet recently and they were reports saying that the concept is expected to be the close to the production model. The production model will only be released in 2009.
The Saab Saab 9-4X BioPower Concept will be powered by a 2.0L ‘BioPower’ branded engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox that produces 300 hp and 400 Nm when used with E85 fuel. The 9-4X will be fitted with Haldex AWD system equipped with new electronic limited slip differential.
If a standard fuel is used for the the 9-4X, the performance will drop to 245 hp and 353 Nm. The car clocked 8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and the top speed is 235 km/h.
The Saab -4X BioPower Concept is also environment friendly with the C02 output of just 252g/km using normal fuel and significantly less with E85. The fuel consumption is assumed to be at 10.5 liter per 100 km.
