Saleen H302 and H302SC Ford Mustang Heritage

Saleen, an American manufacturer of high performance sports cars and high performance automotive parts based in Irvine, California, has revealed the 2008 Saleen H302 and H302SC Ford Mustang Heritage.

The H302 produces 390 hp while the H302SC produces 580 hp. The ‘H’ designator signifies Heritage where Saleen honor some the great heritage of the Ford Mustang.

Both versions feature an all new, Saleen built, 302 cubic inch engine, 5 axis CNC ported cylinder heads, new forged crankshaft, forged connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, performance crankshafts and high flow fuel injectors.

With the modifications, the H302 produces 390 hp. As for the H302SC, Saleen added their patented twin screw intercooled supercharger to get 580 hp and 525 lb-ft of torque from the engine.

The suspension system for both versions were also upgraded to cope with the increase of power. They were fitted with Saleen Racecraft suspensions tuned specifically to the vehicles weight and horsepower profiles giving them responsiveness and stability.

The braking power for the H302SC comes from the standard 14″ front vented slotted rotors grabber by 4 piston calipers. Additional features include ABS and brake assisted traction control, Gen 2 Watts Link system for lateral stability (option on the H302 and standard on the H302SC.

The aleen H302 and H302SC Ford Mustang Heritage come with 19″ Forged luminum alloy wheels (available in bright painted silver or chrome) aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. As an option, the customer can request for a 19″ 7 spoke painted forged wheel.

At the exterior, the H302 features new front and rear fascias, rockers and heritage spoiler, matt black body graphics and the shaker hood and meanwhile the H302SC features aluminum hood with functional cooling vents.

At the interior, the Saleen Mustang features features stone gray Alcantara accents unique seat trim and a laser etched shift knob.

Production began for the H302 in October and the H302SC will begin production in early December. The naturally aspirated H302 production will be limited to 500 units and the supercharged H302SC will be produced for 200 units only. The base price of the H302 is set at $56,999 with the H302SC slightly higher at $74,999.
