Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept Revealed

Suzuki has finally released the third installment of the Kizashi series at the 2008 New York Auto Show. The first Suzuki Kizashi Concept debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor show and the Suzuki Kizashi 2 Concept debuted at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.
“Kizashi” means prelude or also “something great is coming” according to the Suzuki Kizashi 3 minisite and the introduction of Concept Kizashi 3 coincides with Suzuki’s announcement that it will produce a sport sedan derived from the Concept Kizashi 3 design. All the Kizashi series was developed by Suzuki’s Advanced Design Group.
The production model of the Suzuki Kizashi will be built at Suzuki’s brand-new Sagara plant in Japan, currently is still under construction, and expected to deliver the Kizashi-influenced sport sedan to North American dealers by 2010.
The Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept is the closest-to-production variation of the Concept Kizashi series featuring sharply fashioned headlights, painted in metallic silver and stands on 21 inch, 9-spoke aluminum wheels wrapped in low-profile tires at the exterior.
The Kizashi is powered by a 300 hp 3.6-liter DOHC V6 engine with plated cylinders, a weight-and space-saving technology, mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

- Wheelbase: 2,800mm/110.2 in.
- Minimum ground clearance: 120mm
- Body color: Kizashi Silver
Not as brave as the previous two Kizashi concepts…
I would be very surprised, if such a carmaker would come out with such a characteristic car as the first Kizashi. the first one would be considered as a breakthough for Suzuki, this third version is just a fin-polished Mazda6 or Honda Accord. Nice, but noone would get aheart-attack from that car…
