Switzer Performance 800HP GT2 Porsche Package

Switzer Performance Innovation (SPI) of Oberlin Ohio has released its performance package for the Porsche 997 GT2. Their previous works include the SLEDGEHAMMER Porsche 997, the L4 700/750 Porsche and the Switzer Nissan R35 GTR.

The GT2 bolt-on package boosted the power of the Porsche 997 to 800 hp (588 kW) even though the car runs on 93 octane pump fuel. Unlike the SLEDGEHAMMER package which used a stand-alone system, the GT2 still retains the stock ECU but running Switzer-specific DME software calibrations.

The Switzer’s 800 hp GT2 package consists of custom Garret GT30R-based turbochargers with custom billet compressor wheels on ball-bearing center sections in lightweight stainless turbine housings, Switzer MONSTER intercoolers, larger injectors and a custom intake plenum with an oversized throttle-body.

Apart from that, Switzer uses its 997 TT exhaust system rather than the GT2’s stock titanium canister which is too restrictive to handle more airflow.

The Switzer Performance 800 hp GT2 Porsche package is available now through Switzer Performance dealers at $39,000.
