Shadow Sports Design Nissan GT R

Shadow Sports Design, a tuning firm headed by the former Nissan legendary racing driver Masami Kageyama, will unveil its custom Nissan GT-R at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon which will be held from January 9 to 11.

From the photos, the Shadow Sports Design Nissan GT-R features a new carbon fiber front spoiler with integrated brake ducting and large carbon fiber rear wing.

Spied Nissan GT R FIA GT1

According to Japan’s Auto Sport magazine, Nissan will release a FIA GT1 version of the Nissan GT-R. The Le Mans version will also be built.

From the images, the car features NISMO body kit, plexy glass windows, GT-style wing, air ducting, upgraded wheels and brakes and a SuperGT GT500 style hood.

Video: Nissan GT-R Full Test

2009 Nissan GT-R

The people from Edmund’s Inside Line has released a full test video of the new 2009 Nissan GT-R. The test was done on a Japanese-spec Nissan GT-R owned by a Japanese journalist Jun Nishikawa. The specs of the car is the same as the one that will be released in the U.S. i.e. a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces at least 473 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque.

From the test, Inside Line reported that the 2009 Nissan GT-R is faster than the Dodge Viper, Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo that they’ve tested. The GT-R clocked 3.3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) and a quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 120 mph (196 km/h). Watch the video after the jump.

2008 Nissan GT-R Officially Official

2008 Nissan GT-R

Finally the all-new Nissan GT-R is officially revealed at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. We’ve seen the fully revealed version of the GT-R leaked images about a week ago and we can say that the performance figure and features of the Nissan GT-R are spot on.

The new Nissan GT-R new 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 “VR38″ engine mated to the rear-mounted dual-clutch GR6 gearbox, produces 473 hp (353kW) and 588 Nm (434lb-ft). Other new features are the maximum horsepower, 473 hp, achieved at 6400 rpm and the maximum torque, 588 Nm, achieved from 3200 to 5200rpm.

Meanwhile the GT-R is equipped with lots of safety features such as a pop-up engine hood system for enhanced pedestrian safety, driver and front passenger SRS Air Bag System, ELR front seat belts with tension reducer, front seat belts with load limiter, and three-point ELR rear seat belts. Driver and front passenger SRS Side Air Bag System and SRS Curtain Air Bag System are offered as options.

2008 Nissan GT-R

The all-new 2008 Nissan GT-R images are finally leaked on the internet just before the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. There were spyshots and teaser images spreading around before this but finally we can have a good look on the exterior and the interior.

Nissan hasn’t release any details yet but it’s rumored that the new Nissan GT-R will be powered by a turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 engine mated with Dual-Clutch gearbox and latest ATESSA all-wheel drive. The engine could produce 473hp (353kW) and 588Nm (434lb-ft) of torque.

Nissan has released the first image of the new 2008 Nissan GT-R prior to the Tokyo Motor Show. You can’t really see the blackout image but you can see it clearer from the 2008 Nissan GT-R brochure here and the spyshots here.
