Saab unveiled the Saab 9-X BioHybrid Concept at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show which shows what a future compact car from Saab could look like.
The Saab 9-X BioHybrid is powered by a GM next-generation Hybrid system 1.4 liter BioPower turbo engine producing 200 hp (147 kW) and 280 Nm of torque. The hybrid engine is mated to a 6-speed automated clutch manual gearbox. The CO2 emissions is at just 105 g/km on E85 fuel.
The design of the 9-X BioHybrid Concept was inspired by the Aero X coupe concept unveiled 2 years ago at the Geneva Motor Show which feature smooth ‘fuselage’ bodywork i.e. without any visible handles or door mirrors, the bold ‘wraparound’ window graphic and deep front grille.
