Honda has unveiled the Honda FC Sport design study model at the Los Angeles Auto Show which is a three-seat sports car concept which is powered by hydrogen.

The Honda FC Sport emphasizes the design flexibility and potential of Honda’s V Flow fuel cell technology, already in use on Honda FCX Clarity sedan and reconfigures the technology into a lightweight sports car design with ultra-low center of gravity, powerful electric motor performance and zero-emissions.

2008 SEMA: Volkswagen Super CC Performance Concept

Volkswagen has unveiled the Volkswagen Super CC Performance Concept which is based on the new Passat CC at the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The Super CC Performance was designed by the Volkswagen Design Center in California with assistance from APR, Recaro, H&R Suspension and Brembo North America.

The Super CC Performance Concept features black chrome exterior accents, grey pearl paint with custom front and rear bumper, side panels and machined aluminum spoiler at the exterior. Inside, the Volkswagen Super CC Performance features high-gloss piano black accents offset by matte black graphics, black leather Recaro seats and matching floor mats highlighted with white piping.

Renault Sandero Sand’ Up Concept

Renault has unveiled the Sand’ Up Concept which is based on the Sandero Stepway at the Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil.

The Renault Sandero Sand’ Up was designed in Brazil and has a 2+2 coupe/convertible configuration with movable hard top that can be converted into a pick up.

Honda Insight Hybrid Concept

Honda has finally presented the Insight Concept which is powered by a hybrid powertrain at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The production version of the Insight hybrid is scheduled to go on sale in Europe, Japan and North America during the first half of 2009 and will be built at Honda’s Suzuka factory in Japan along with the Civic Hybrid.

The Honda Insight Concept is powered by a 1.3-liter IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) system which has been extensively modified to reduce its cost and weight.

GTbyCITROEN at 2008 Paris Motor Show

Citroen has unveiled its show car, the GTbyCITROEN, at the 2008 Paris Motor Show which is a style replica of a vehicle from the digital world. The two-seater car was designed by Citroen in the partnership with Polyphony, designer of the driving simulation game Gran Turismo on Playstation 3.

The GTbyCITROEN features wide air intakes and clear-cut horizontal headlamps consist of blue LEDs at the front, chrome chevrons on the bonnet, carbon rearview mirrors and large wraparound windscreen flows seamlessly into the roof and on into the rear mobile airfoil at the exterior.

Venturi Volage Concept

Venturi Automobiles in the collaboration with Michelin presented the Venturi Volage at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The Volage is another electric car from Venturi after the Fetish roadster that was unveiled at the Top Marques Monaco last April.

All the 4 wheels and the active suspension of the Volage is equipped with Michelin Active Wheel technology which incorporates 2 electric motors per wheel, 1 for the suspension and 1 for the drive. All the components motors, gear reduction units and suspensions, are miniaturized and built into the wheels.

Lamborghini Estoque Concept Unofficial Details

The Lamborghini Estoque Concept, the new four-door concept car that is scheduled to be unveiled at the 2008 Paris International Motor Show early this month, was finally unveiled after series of teasers by Lamborghini.

From the low resolution images we can see that the Lamborghini Estoque features Reventon style air intakes in the front bumper and taillights and vented bonnet. According to some reports on the internet, the Lamborghini Estoque is measured at 5.15 m long and features LCD instrument panel and have enough space for four adults and several golf bags inside.

Pininfarina Sintesi Concept Teasers

Pininfarina, an Italian car design firm, has released the Pininfarina Sintesi Concept teaser images prior to its debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show on March.

Sintesi simply means synthesis in Italian the concept describes the new concept as a synthesis of beauty, sportiness and functionality.

Zenz Concept

Ralf Zenz, car designer from Germany, will unveiled the Zenz Concept at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. The concept will be a full scale model that is reported to have a slippery drag coefficient of just 0.21Cd.

According to Zenz, the production version could produce 140 hp from its diesel engine and reach speed as high as 230 km/h but consume only 3 liter of fuel per 100 km due to its low 760kg kerb weight and aerodynamic shape.
