Honda has unveiled the Honda FC Sport design study model at the Los Angeles Auto Show which is a three-seat sports car concept which is powered by hydrogen.

The Honda FC Sport emphasizes the design flexibility and potential of Honda’s V Flow fuel cell technology, already in use on Honda FCX Clarity sedan and reconfigures the technology into a lightweight sports car design with ultra-low center of gravity, powerful electric motor performance and zero-emissions.

MUGEN Honda Odyssey JDM

Honda tuner, MUGEN, has released its body kit for the newly released 2009 Honda Odyssey that was just released in Japan.

The kit is available in two versions, i.e. for the standard M, L, Li and the other version is for the high-spec sporty Absolute.

All-New JDM 2009 Honda Odyssey

Honda Motor Co. Ltd has presented the remodelled 2009 Honda Odyssey for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) which already begin its sales in Japan on October 17. The Odyssey features a low-floor and low center-of-gravity package, advanced safety technologies and the new Multi-view Camera System.

The 2009 Honda Odyssey is powered by a 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine and torque converter-equipped CVT (ratios ranging from 2.470 – 0.450) for the FWD model which enable the vehicle to achieve fuel economy of 13.2 km/liter. To further improve the fuel economy, the Odyssey is equipped with DBW (drive-by-wire) control and ECON mode.

Honda Insight Hybrid Concept

Honda has finally presented the Insight Concept which is powered by a hybrid powertrain at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The production version of the Insight hybrid is scheduled to go on sale in Europe, Japan and North America during the first half of 2009 and will be built at Honda’s Suzuka factory in Japan along with the Civic Hybrid.

The Honda Insight Concept is powered by a 1.3-liter IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) system which has been extensively modified to reduce its cost and weight.

2009 Honda Accord Euro Sports Pack

Honda has unveiled a new Sport Pack for both the new Honda Accord Euro Sedan and Tourer models. At the exterior, the Sports Pack consist of new front and rear bumpers, a pair of sporty side skirts, sporty front grille, a boot spoiler (for the Sedan), an integrated fog lights and 18-inch alloy wheels.

On the interior, the Accord is treated with titanium finish on the dashboard and leather trim on the seats, gear knob and the steering wheel. Other features include USB port for iPod connectivity, optional satnav system and a power operated tailgate for the Tourer only.

Honda S2000 with Type S Suspension

Honda S2000 with Type S Suspension

Honda has upgraded the Honda S2000 Roadster with new suspension settings and also its appearance in the UK. The suspension system is the same as the S2000 Type S that can be found on the Japan version. The upgrade includes uprated springs, re-tuned damper and thicker anti-roll bars for better handling and stability.

At the exterior, the S2000 now comes with new 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels and meanwhile on the interior, leather trims are now available in black with red stitching, brown with red stitching and red with black sides.

2009 Honda Accord Euro Spec

2009 Honda Accord Euro Spec

Honda has announced that the all-new 2009 Honda Accord Euro Spec will be unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show and it will compete with D-segment cars. Honda offer both sportier Accord saloon and Tourer Wagon which comply to Euro 5 emissions. The Accord is also wider and slightly lower than its predecessor

The 2009 Honda Accord will be powered by 3 types of engines i.e. the 2.0-liter i-DTEC diesel engine, 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol engine and the 2.4-liter i-VTEC petrol engine. The i-DTEC engine produces 50 PS/110 kW at 4,000 rpm and maximum torque of 350 Nm at 2,000 rpm.

The 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine produces 156 PS at 6,300 rpm and meanwhile the 2.4-liter i-VTEC produces 200 PS at 7000 rpm and peak torque of 233 Nm at 4500 rpm. The changes done to the engine compared to the previous model were increased intake valves diameter, optimised valve lift and timing and increased inlet and exhaust air flow volumes.

2009 Honda Accord Euro Teaser Images

2009 Honda Accord Euro Acura TSX

Honda has released few teaser images of the new 2009 Honda Accord Euro (aka Acura TSX in the US). The teaser images showed some similarities to the Honda Accord Tourer Concept revealed last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We can see that the images revealed the station wagon version.

It was reported that the new Honda Accord Euro will be powered by 2 version of petrol engines i.e. 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter and also by a 2.2-liter diesel engine. The engines will also be Euro 5 compliant.

Mugen Honda Type-RR Experimental Spec

Mugen Honda Civic Type-RR Experimental Spec

The Mugen Honda Civic Type-RR Experimental Spec was unveiled at the 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon. The Civic Type-RR is powered by a K20A engine that was bored out to 2,157 cc.

The new 2.2 liter engine now could produce 260 hp (194kW) and 173 lb.-ft. of torque. Basically the engine is the same as the i-VTEC 2.0 liter unit but Mugen manage to reduce the friction on the internals. The camshafts has also been redesigned.
