The 2010 Toyota Prius is scheduled to make its debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show in January but PriusChat forum has released the allegedly leaked images of the 2010 Prius.
According MotorAuthority, the 2010 Toyota Prius will be powered by a 1.6-liter engine with fuel consumption of less than the current 48 mpg (4.9-liter/100 km) in the city and 45 mpg (5.22-liter/100 km) on the highway.

Honda Insight Hybrid Concept

Honda has finally presented the Insight Concept which is powered by a hybrid powertrain at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The production version of the Insight hybrid is scheduled to go on sale in Europe, Japan and North America during the first half of 2009 and will be built at Honda’s Suzuka factory in Japan along with the Civic Hybrid.
The Honda Insight Concept is powered by a 1.3-liter IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) system which has been extensively modified to reduce its cost and weight.

Saab 9-X BioHybrid Concept

Saab unveiled the Saab 9-X BioHybrid Concept at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show which shows what a future compact car from Saab could look like.
The Saab 9-X BioHybrid is powered by a GM next-generation Hybrid system 1.4 liter BioPower turbo engine producing 200 hp (147 kW) and 280 Nm of torque. The hybrid engine is mated to a 6-speed automated clutch manual gearbox. The CO2 emissions is at just 105 g/km on E85 fuel.
The design of the 9-X BioHybrid Concept was inspired by the Aero X coupe concept unveiled 2 years ago at the Geneva Motor Show which feature smooth ‘fuselage’ bodywork i.e. without any visible handles or door mirrors, the bold ‘wraparound’ window graphic and deep front grille.

Land Rover LRX Concept Black and Silver Version

Last month, the Land Rover LRX Concept made its first appearance at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit but Land Rover is planning to display again the LRX Concept at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show starting on March 4. This time it will be the black and silver version.
The proposed engine for the LRX Concept is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel hybrid capable of running on bio-diesel. The fuel consumption is expected at 60 mpg (4.7 liter/100 km) while the CO2 emissions is at 120 g/km.

Mercedes-Benz Vision GLK BLUETEC Hybrid

Mercedes-Benz will unveil the Vision GLK BLUETEC Hybrid at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show which feature a hybrid powertrain from Mercedes’ “TrueBlueSolutions” strategy.
The Mercedes GLK BLUETEC Hybrid is powered by a BLUETEC 2.2 liter 4-cylinder diesel engine mated to an electric motor producing 224 hp (165 kW) and 560 Nm of torque. The Vision GLK BLUETEC clocked 7.3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and the top speed is at 215 km/h. Even with such power, the hybrid only consumes an average of 5.9 liter of diesel per 100 km with 157 g/km of CO2 emmission. The SUV also meets American BIN5 and the European EU6 standards.

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics X5 Concept

The BMW Vision EfficientDynamics X5 Concept will make its debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show on March 4 - 16 and this will mark BMW future approach toward low emission but high performance vehicles.
The Vision EfficientDynamics X5 Concept is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine combined with BMW’s Variable Twin Turbo concept, third-generation common-rail injection and an all aluminum crankcase produces 204 hp and 400 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 2,250 rpm.
The engine also uses mild ActiveHybrid technology to deliver further 20 hp and 210 Nm of torque to the X5 Concept. The diesel engine is mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission developed jointly between BMW and ZF where the gearbox delivers fast and efficient gear changes.

GMC Denali XT Hybrid Concept

General Motors Corp debuted the GMC Denali XT Hybrid Concept at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show.The GMC Denali XT Hybrid Concept is based on the Holden Crewman, which is a 4-door Commodore with a pickup truck bed at the back. The design and construction were lead by Holden Design, Australia.
According to GMC, the Hybrid Sport-Utility Truck (SUT) Denali XT offers a 50 % increase in combined fuel economy over comparable small pickup trucks when running on petrol.
The GMC Denali XT Hybrid Concept is powered by the new 4.9L SIDI V-8 and two-mode hybrid system. The rear-wheel-drive two-mode hybrid transmission is paired with a smaller-displacement version of the small-block engine. The new V-8 4.9L direct-injection E85-capable engine produces an estimated 326 hp (243 kW) but consumes less fuel and produces lower emissions.

2009 Fisker Karma

Fisker Automotive, Inc., an American car company specializing in environmentally friendly, premium sports car company, unveiled its first production car, the Fisker Karma, at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
The Fisker Karma is a four-door plug-in hybrid premium sports sedan that will be priced starting at $80,000. The first deliveries will commence in the 4th quarter of 2009 with annual production projected to reach 15,000 cars.
The car was named Karma because the car allows consumers to practice good Karma, driving a car that is environmentally friendly without sacrificing the extreme comfort and style of the luxury automobile category.

Saab 9-4X BioPower Concept

The Saab 9-4X BioPower Concept leaked images were released on the internet recently and they were reports saying that the concept is expected to be the close to the production model. The production model will only be released in 2009.
The Saab Saab 9-4X BioPower Concept will be powered by a 2.0L ‘BioPower’ branded engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox that produces 300 hp and 400 Nm when used with E85 fuel. The 9-4X will be fitted with Haldex AWD system equipped with new electronic limited slip differential.
