Mitsubishi will unveil the new 2009 Mitsubishi Galant at the Chicago Auto Show that will be held on 8-17 February 2008 at McCormick Place. The facelifted Galant will arrive at Mitsubishi US dealers somewhere in February.

Mitsubishi Concept-ZT

The Mitsubishi Concept-ZT (possibly the new Mitsubishi Galant) will be powered with a newly developed 2.2-liter 4-cylinder DOHC, 16-valve with VD (Variable Diffuser)/VG (Variable Geometry) clean turbodiesel engine with common-rail direct fuel injection (piezoelectric injector) that produces a maximum output of 140 kW (188 hp) and maximum torque of 400 Nm.
The engine is mated to Mitsubishi’s new Twin Clutch SST, which delivers superior power transmission efficiency that is smooth, responsive, effortless power and acceleration both on the highway or in urban areas with good fuel economy. The S-AWC system combines front E-LSD (Electric control – Limited Slip Differential), ABS and ASC with the 4WD electronic control system also used in Outlander and Delica D:5.
The Mitsubishi Concept-ZT is designed with a lower centre of gravity, which is more stable and also gives the sedan a more sporty look.
