Video: Nissan GT-R Full Test

The people from Edmund’s Inside Line has released a full test video of the new 2009 Nissan GT-R. The test was done on a Japanese-spec Nissan GT-R owned by a Japanese journalist Jun Nishikawa. The specs of the car is the same as the one that will be released in the U.S. i.e. a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces at least 473 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque.
From the test, Inside Line reported that the 2009 Nissan GT-R is faster than the Dodge Viper, Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo that they’ve tested. The GT-R clocked 3.3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) and a quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 120 mph (196 km/h). Watch the video after the jump.

2008 Nissan GT-R Officially Official

Finally the all-new Nissan GT-R is officially revealed at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. We’ve seen the fully revealed version of the GT-R leaked images about a week ago and we can say that the performance figure and features of the Nissan GT-R are spot on.
The new Nissan GT-R new 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 “VR38″ engine mated to the rear-mounted dual-clutch GR6 gearbox, produces 473 hp (353kW) and 588 Nm (434lb-ft). Other new features are the maximum horsepower, 473 hp, achieved at 6400 rpm and the maximum torque, 588 Nm, achieved from 3200 to 5200rpm.
Meanwhile the GT-R is equipped with lots of safety features such as a pop-up engine hood system for enhanced pedestrian safety, driver and front passenger SRS Air Bag System, ELR front seat belts with tension reducer, front seat belts with load limiter, and three-point ELR rear seat belts. Driver and front passenger SRS Side Air Bag System and SRS Curtain Air Bag System are offered as options.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has introduced the all-new Skyline coupe in Japan. So it’s confirmed now that the new Nissan Skyline and the Nissan GT-R are 2 different cars.
The Skyline Coupe comes with an Intelligent Key system that electronically locks the steering, immobilizes the engine and handles other jobs according to the key ID for enhanced theft prevention. To assists the driver when pulling to a curb or parallel parking, an option Blind-Side Monitor system is available which displays the blind areas view around the front left of the vehicle.
With the advanced FM (Front Mid-ship) package and FR-L platform, the Skyline coupe provides exceptional levels of driving performance, ride comfort, roominess and utility through use of the advanced FM (Front Mid-ship) package and FR-L platform.
The Skyline coupe is powered by the newly developed VQ37VHR engine mated with close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission or electronic 5-speed automatic transmission. The VQ37VHR produces 333 hp and generate 90% of maximum torque between 2,400 and 7,000 rpm.

Three Versions Of 2008 Nissan GT-R On Sale

Autoblog confirmed that the bookings for the new 2008 Nissan GT-R is possible until October 24. Anyone who has ordered and sign their signature on the order form can’t cancel their order. They have to buy.
There will be 3 versions of the new Nissan GT-R available. The standard GT-R is expected to start at $57,000 while the V Spec and EVO Spec will start at $67,000 and $94,000 respectively and they are available in a 6 speed and an advanced paddle shifting automatic. It’s not known yet what is the displacement of the engine, either 3.7 or 3.8 liter but it was mentioned that the Standard GT-R and V Spec will be equipped with a 480HP version of the VQHRTT engine.

2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R R36 Concept

The production car of the new 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R R36 or will be known only as Nissan GT-R will debut officially at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. he real GT-R will look a lot like the Nissan GT-R Proto concept that debuted at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show.
Nissan initially considered a V-8 for the next GT-R but has opted instead for a specially developed twin-turbo V-6, due to its lower weight and explosive power potential. Cosworth of Britain is helping Nissan while still meeting emissions laws, extract more than 450 horsepower from the upcoming 3.7- or 3.8-liter V-6.
