Earlier this month, we’ve seen the rough sketch of the new Opel Meriva Minivan Concept that will make its debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. Opel has released another teaser and details of the Meriva Concept.
The Meriva Minivan Concept is expected to be on production sometime in 2009. The Meriva features rear-hinged rear doors on both sides of the car called FlexDoors. The rear doors swing open towards the back of the car, while the front doors are conventionally designed with front hinges.
Another feature Meriva Concept is that the front and rear doors can open independently of each other because the existing rear-hinged rear doors on the market can only be opened after the front door has been opened, which is not that practical for a family-oriented vehicle.
