The 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe which is currently presented at the 2008 New York Auto Show is the GXP model that will arrive at dealerships in early 2009. The new Solstice Coupe is based on the Solstice coupe concept shown at the North American International Auto Show in 2002.
The Pontiac Solstice Coupe is powered by a standard 2.4L Ecotec 4-cylinder engine producing 173 hp (129 kW), while the GXP version is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged Ecotec engine producing 260 hp (194 kW).

2008 Pontiac G8 GXP

Apart from the G8 Sport Truck, Pontiac is also presenting the Pontiac G8 GXP at the 2008 New York Auto Show.
The Pontiac G8 GXP is powered by a detuned Corvette’s LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox producing 402 hp and 546 Nm (402 lb.-ft) of torque.

Pontiac G8 Sport Truck

Pontiac has released the details and images of the Pontiac G8 Sport Truck which is based on the Pontiac G8 performance sedan but with a longer wheelbase and a cargo bed suitable for either work or recreation. The G8 truck is expected to arrive in dealers’ showrooms in late 2009. Actually the truck has no official name yet and Pontiac has decided to let the consumer to name the vehicle.
The exterior of the G8 Sport Truck features flared fenders wrap around the 18-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels with a P245/45R18 summer performance tire, coupe-like profile roofline, wrap-around taillamps, fully concealed tailgate hinges and soft tonneau cover to protect and conceal the cargo bed from the weather.

Pontiac G8 GT SEMA Edition

The Pontiac G8 GT SEMA Edition is powered by a V8 engine that had undergone various modification with a touch up of a hot orange paint scheme with matching leather seat inserts, door panels and instrument panel pad. The G8 GT is originally developed by Holden, GM’s Australia subsidiary and will only be available in the US early 2008.
The Pontiac G8 GT 6.0 liter V8 engine mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control produces 361 horsepower (268 kW) and 385 lb.-ft. of torque (520 Nm).
