Honda HSV-010 GT

Honda has finally unveiled the first details and images of the HSV-010 GT which will compete in the GT500 class of the 2010 Super GT Series.

The HSV stands for Honda Sports Velocity and the car is powered by a 3.4-liter HR10EG liquid cooled, naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces maximum output of 370 kW (500 PS) or more and maximum torque of 392 Nm (40 kg.m) or more.

BMW M3 GTS

BMW M3 GTS

BMW has officially unveiled the BMW M3 GTS which is based on the M3 Coupe developed for Clubsport events. The GTS comes with modifications on the drivetrain, the suspension system, the body of the car and the interior. The M3 GTS will be officially launched in spring 2010.

The weight of the car has been reduced to less than 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) and the body comes with six-point seat belts and a roll cage installed behind the B-pillar. The weight is reduced by installing carbon fiber roof, titanium silencers, extra-light center console and door linings, the removal of the rear seats, automatic air conditioning and the audio system and custom sound insulation.

Electric GreenGT Design Study

GreenGT of Switzerland, an eco-friendly car manufacturer, has released details of its prototype electric race car.

According to the head engineer of GreenGT, Christophe Schwartz, the GreenGT design study could become the company’s 2011 Le Mans prototype electric racer or it could even become an electric road going supercar. The car is also possible to become both because the only difference between both model is the electronic programming.

Pagani Zonda R Latest Details and Images

Pagani Automobili S.p.A. from Italy, manufacturer of sports cars and carbon fiber, has unveiled the detail specifications of the new Pagani Zonda R. The Zonda R was created using bespoke engineering solutions for the trackday version of the Zonda F.

The central monocoque is made of a Carbon-Titanium composite for improve rigidity and to reduce weight. The Pagani Zonda R is powered by the Mercedes-Benz AMG 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 750 hp and 710 Nm of torque. An immediate throttle response is made possible with a direct throttle actuation via mechanical cable.

ALPINA B6 GT3 BMW 6 Series

ALPINA, an automobile manufacturing firm based in Germany selling cars based on BMW models, has unveiled the ALPINA B6 GT3 which is based on the BMW 6 Series which will make its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show in March.

The ALPINA B6 GT3 BMW 6 Series is a race car that participates in FIA GT3 European Championship which is also available for sale to the public.

2009 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

Porsche has unveiled the updated version of the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR for the 2009. The significant difference compared to the previous version is the louvered front hood to accommodate the optional A/C system due to redesigned radiator ductwork of the vehicle.

The rear wing is also more adjustable with a wider adjustment range. The 2009 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR also uses lightened brakes and wiring harness to reduce the weight and also to improve handling.
