MR Car Design Volkswagen Golf VI GTI

MR Car Design, car tuner which is based in Erftstadt Germany has released its tuning package for the Volkswagen Golf VI GTI.

The tuner’s software improvement (€ 949), new downpipe and a new electronic known as XDS which improved the traction helps the 2.0-liter Turbo FSI engine to produce 260 hp and 380 Nm of maximum torque.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli

Volkswagen has released the special edition version of the golf GTI dubbed the Golf GTI Pirelli which is based on the Golf GTI Edition 30 that was released early last year.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI engine producing 230 hp, an increase by 30 hp from the stock 200 hp. Power is channeled via a 6-speed manual or the twin-clutch DSG gearbox.

The GTI clocked 0 to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds, an increase from the stock 7.2 seconds. The top speed is also increase from 146 mph to 152 mph.

Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept

The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept make its debut at the Essen Motor Show. The RaVe 270 is capable to produce 270 PS from its turbocharged 4-cylinder TSI direct gasoline injection.

The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept interior features leather bucket seats, powerful 1,400 Watt sound system based on the brand-new RNS 510 radio-navigation system.

The Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept was developed and built by Volkswagen Individual in “Biscay Blue” color and it is the most powerful Golf Variant of all times with modifications made to the Golf GTI engine and the 4Motion all-wheel drive of the Golf R32.

The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept is powered with a 198 kW / 270 PS 4-cylinder TSI engine which is based on the engine of the Golf GTI Edition 30 whose power was already boosted from 147 kW / 200 PS to 169 kW / 230 PS. Additional 40 PS power comes from the modifications made to the turbocharger, intercooling and engine electronics. The Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept achieves 270 PS at 6,000 rpm and with the maximum torque of 350 Nm at a low 3,000 rpm.

Gen VI Volkswagen Golf/Rabbit Spyshot

I’m not a big fan of Volkswagen Golf but here’s a spyshot of the new generation of the Volkswagen Golf. The picture was taken during the weekend in California during its test drive.

Here’s an overview of the specs. All engines are direct-injection but the output varies depend on the size of the engine. 1.4 produces 80 bhp and 1.6 produces 102 bhp. There will also be a new 1.4 turbo, a 150bhp TSI twincharger, and a 197bhp GTI and 246bhp R32.

There will be diesel engines too ranging from a 89bhp 1.6 TDI all the way up to a 168bhp 2.0 TDI. Most engines will be available with VW’s twin-clutch DSG transmission, and according to carmagazine.co.uk, the paddle-shift option will be available with seven forward ratios.
